The Financial Ombudsman figured the problem incurred by credit card holders in the past and until the present. Reports showed that almost all major and minor credit card companies and banks have overcharged their customers of high payment rates. This typically happens when a card holder fails to comply with the requirement they have set. Take the instance of late payments for the things you have purchased using your card. The allowed interest rate that should be given by the bank if this case happens is only 5% of the total amount. However they charge rates higher than the required one that is why customers are subject for a credit card charges claim counting six years backwards of paying for that incurred charges.
When you file a claim over these charges, you will need to compute the total amount of your claim. If you are lost in the process of computation for that claim, you can ask assistance from the Financial Ombudsman or with a legal adviser. Credit card charges claim would compensate the total amount of payment you have made for the past six years and can sometimes include the interest rates depending on the situation you are in to. Write a letter to the bank or any of your credit card issuer telling them that you are liable for a claim. You will need to produce some documents and records of payment as a proof of a valid claim over you share on the reimbursement.
